Privacy & Cookie Policy
Effective Date: October 30, 2026
The Law Office of Lee Mangum is a trade name of CPLR Law, PLLC (“CPLR,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information through leemangumlaw.com and pages operated as part of that website.
This policy applies to website activity and initial inquiries. Separate notices, engagement terms, and professional obligations may govern information relating to an attorney-client relationship.
No Attorney-Client Relationship
Using this website or submitting an inquiry does not create an attorney-client relationship. Representation begins only after the firm completes conflicts review, accepts the matter, and both the firm and client execute a written engagement agreement.
Please do not submit confidential, highly sensitive, or time-sensitive information through a website form. Although applicable professional-conduct rules may impose duties concerning information received from a prospective client, submitting information does not mean the firm has agreed to represent you.
Information We Collect
We may collect information you provide voluntarily, including:
- Your name, email address, and telephone number;
- A brief nonconfidential message; and
- Information you provide in telephone, email, or other communications with us.
We may also collect information automatically when you use the website, including:
- Internet Protocol address;
- Browser, device, and network information;
- Pages viewed and links used;
- Referring page or website;
- Date, time, and general interaction information;
- Cookie identifiers and advertising or campaign information; and
- Approximate location derived from an IP address.
How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- Receive, evaluate, and respond to inquiries;
- Conduct conflicts checks and determine whether a matter is within the firm’s scope;
- Communicate with prospective and current clients;
- Provide legal services after an engagement begins;
- Operate, secure, maintain, and improve the website;
- Detect spam, abuse, or security problems;
- Understand website traffic and campaign performance;
- Measure and improve advertising, where the visitor has consented;
- Comply with legal, regulatory, ethical, and professional obligations; and
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.
Website Hosting and Forms
This website is hosted by Squarespace. Squarespace may receive browser, device, network, IP-address, referring-page, and page-view information needed to provide, protect, and improve its platform.
When you submit a form, we collect the information requested in that form so we can evaluate and respond to the inquiry. Squarespace processes the submission to provide website and form services. The submission may also be delivered to and stored by our firm-controlled email, intake, document-management, or technology providers.
Do not use a website form to transmit documents, account numbers, Social Security numbers, medical records, financial records, or other highly sensitive information unless the firm gives you a secure method.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies.
- Necessary cookies support security, website delivery, and visitor preferences.
- Analytics cookies help us understand website traffic and use.
- Advertising cookies help us measure advertising and understand whether an advertisement led to a website visit or inquiry.
Where enabled, our cookie banner allows visitors to accept, decline, or manage nonessential cookies. Nonessential analytics and advertising cookies are not intended to operate until the visitor provides the applicable consent.
You can change cookie choices through the website’s cookie-preferences control. Browser settings may also allow you to delete or block cookies, although some website functions may then work differently.
Squarespace Analytics
With the applicable consent, we may use Squarespace Analytics to understand website traffic and activity. This may include browser, device, network, IP-address, referral, page-view, click, search, scroll, and timestamp information.
Meta Pixel and Advertising Measurement
With the applicable consent, we may use the Meta Pixel provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. Meta Pixel helps us measure advertising performance and understand actions such as viewing a campaign page or successfully submitting an inquiry.
Meta may receive browser and device information, cookie or advertising identifiers, IP address, page and referring information, and limited event information. We do not intend to send Meta the contents of inquiry forms, legal-matter descriptions, property information, email addresses, telephone numbers, or other sensitive information through the Pixel.
Meta processes information under its own terms and privacy policies. Learn more through Meta’s Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, and manage advertising preferences through Meta’s account controls.
Google reCAPTCHA
Website forms may use Google reCAPTCHA to reduce spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA may receive device, browser, IP-address, and interaction information for security and risk analysis. Google processes this information under its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
When We Disclose Information
We may disclose information:
- Within CPLR and to lawyers, employees, contractors, and service providers who need it for firm operations;
- To Squarespace and approved hosting, email, intake, analytics, advertising, security, and technology providers;
- To Meta for advertising measurement only as described above and subject to visitor consent;
- To Google for reCAPTCHA and any separately disclosed Google service;
- To professional advisers, insurers, auditors, or vendors subject to appropriate obligations;
- When required by law, court order, subpoena, professional rule, or lawful government request;
- To protect the rights, safety, property, or security of the firm, clients, visitors, or others; and
- In connection with a reorganization, merger, or transfer of firm assets, subject to applicable professional duties.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws may define certain advertising disclosures as a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising.” Where such laws apply, visitors may use our cookie controls or contact us to exercise applicable rights.
Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including inquiry handling, conflicts administration, security, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, and compliance with legal and professional obligations. Some information may be retained even after a deletion request when necessary for conflicts, legal, ethical, security, or evidentiary reasons.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No website, email transmission, or electronic storage method is completely secure. Do not send urgent or highly sensitive information through a website form or ordinary email.
Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on your residence and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information, or to opt out of certain targeted advertising or disclosures.
To submit a request, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your identity. We may deny or limit a request where permitted or required by law, including where retaining information is necessary for conflicts checks, professional obligations, legal claims, security, or another lawful purpose.
Children
This website is intended for adults seeking information about legal services. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website.
Third-Party Links
The website may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy and security practices are governed by their own policies, not this policy.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, services, technology, or legal requirements. We will post the revised policy with an updated effective date.
